hours Be careful when eating and drinking, especially hot food and drinks during this time. The injection site may be a bit sore the following day and may feel bruised, this is quite normal. Injections results can vary from person to person and time to time, if anything concerns you do not hesitate to contact us. White restorations set straight away but we recommended you are careful for a few hours due to the numbness from the anaesthetic. It may feel strange for a few days while you get use to the new filling, especially when you bite. If it feel too high or rough this is easily rectified. We recommend leaving it for a few days after appointment for you to adjust normally. If it still feels uncomfortable please contact us. You may also experience sensitivity to hot and cold for a few days, especially if it was a deep restoration, if it continues for more than a few days or worsens. Please contact us. We provide apple juice after an injection to raise the blood sugar level; this will help the anaesthetic to pass through the system quicker. It should be drunk within an hour. It also helps if you are prone to feeling faint after treatment normally caused by lying down for long periods. Regular examinations are important to catch decay at an early stage so the restoration is as small as possible.
