One of my favorite past times during the summer time with my family is when we would take family fishing trips over a three day weekend such as Labor Day. Everybody was off from school and my parents were away from work and we could all enjoy a nice and relaxing weekend out on the water. One of the best things about our fishing trips is that they were like a small vacation where we could just enjoy our time as a family. We would out get out on the boat, jump in the water, do some fishing, and play with our family dog, Max. I miss those days as a kid when fishing trips were my favorite time of year.Now that I have grown up and have had my own kids, it has become increasingly more difficult to get out and go fishing the way I used to. My work schedule is very busy, as is my wife's, and the kids have always got something going on. If it is not football practice and gymnastics it's soccer and a play-date.
