Work It Baby! How To Be More Attractive To Men And Get The Dates You Really Want

So you've run into that new guy in the marketing department - the one your cube-mates

have been mooning over - and he is a hottie! Cute little butt, great taste in clothes, dazzling blue eyes. And not a ring to be seen. The only trouble is, he barely glances at you, even when you stand too close in the copy room. What's a girl have to do to be more attractive to men and get some attention anyway?

Here's a hint - it's not about how thin you are or how sexy your legs look in a short skirt. It's really about interest. Yours.

When you're interested in a guy, it shows, and yes, it's OK if he knows it. In fact, he will love knowing it. And if there's any spark of chemistry from his end, he'll reciprocate. Some guys do need a bit of encouragement. But here is what you've got to accept. If you've shown that you're interested and available - but nothing is happening, what do you do? Move on! I mean it - move on! If a guy is interested he will follow up. If he does not follow up 'he is just not into you. Go figure, he must have terrible taste.

You do not have to work hard to get a guy to call. I'm going to give you my secrets for attracting a man - and if these don't work - then this is not the guy for you - no matter how much you've fantasized that he is.

Showing you're interested and available isn't rocket science, but you do have to work at it a bit. Here are some tactics that have worked for me in the past.

1.This one is top secret - and is tried and true. Use it under advisement - you will get results. SMILE! Not a tense smile, not a teasing, come-hither smile, not even a grin is necessary. Just a - "life is good"- smile. First of all this makes you look approachable - and men definitely need to feel that it is OK to approach you. Also, this will make you feel good - act like life is good - let this feeling run all the way through to your toes. Living well is the absolute best bait.

2.Eye contact. Do not hesitate - with that life is good smile on your lips - to make eye contact with any and every guy. They will be stumbling over themselves to get to you. Don't have to bat your lashes, don't have to wink. A sincere look, "oh, there you are," and that smile.

3.Dress for success. You've got to know that a guy is interested in you - and not your cleavage. Yes, you will get attention with skirts up to your crotch and your bubbies bouncing around - but what are you after? Mr Right Now or Mr Right ? Look good, clean, healthy, attractive - give it your own flair - but make no mistake: the way you dress will influence the way he treats you.

4.Appreciate him. So you've got him talking - great! Let him know you're enjoying it by commenting on what he is saying, contributing to the conversation, laughing at his jokes - but come on - giggling at every joke and agreeing with everything 'no, no. You are an interesting, intelligent woman - he needs to know that - but let him know it gently. Do not be combative or defensive about anything. Here's the thing - you are in charge even if he doesn't know it. Two people have got to make the decision about whether or not you want to go to the next step. You get to choose also - so don't give away your dignity.

5.Does he act interested, but still your dance card remains empty? Sometimes you just can't wait around for the guy to do the asking. Who knows what's going on in his life? If he doesn't pick up the phone, you should...maybe. And I recommend this with a couple of caveats cause, honestly, it has never worked for me. In my dating life if a guy did not make the move then a) there was a reason, like he was already involved or b) there was a wiser force at work here protecting me from some future hassle down the road. You must believe that timing is everything - and sometimes the timing is off, no matter what a cutie he is. So move on! The timing will be perfect when the guy is the right one.

6.Learn new things. Put yourself in new places, with new people. When you are an interesting person, doing interesting things you will attract interesting men. Be the person you would be attracted to. Your life will be so much better as you become vibrant and excited - and that is the point...you cannot live your life in order to find your guy. Live a wonderful life and it will happen.

Now that you know the secret of how to be more attractive to men, I have to caution you to only use your powers for good. Just because you can attract any man you want, does not mean that you should. Be selective, be discerning, and never waste your time on Mr. Right Now, when Mr. Forever could be just around the corner.
