As a man I must admit I am truly puzzled by women sometimes. I'm no psychologist, but I know that at times what they say they want is not really what they want. Why aren't women more direct and less layered? I'm not stereotyping all women, but rather speaking generally from my experiences. Women, you know it. You are hard to read. If you ask a guy a question you will most likely get a direct answer. We try not to beat around the bush about our likes and opinions, because we truly want you to know what they are and honor them. So here is the situation:
It happens too often. My girlfriend and I are getting ready to go to a function. She does her little fashion show asking me: Which of these tops do you like best on me? So of course I give her my true opinion about what I think looks best on her.
After choosing a top she begins trying on different pants and skirts. Again she asks me for my opinion. Which pair of pants do you like best with this to?. Which pants do my butt look the best in? So again I tell her how I feel. Then we move on to trying on shoes, jewelry, and even matching purses with the outfit. My girlfriend will ask questions referring to why I like certain articles more than others. Sometimes she will include her opinion. She will tell me why she likes a specific top or pair of pants better than the ones I have chosen.
Sometimes this process can take up to an hour. We(Men) might as well kiss this hour goodbye the second the fashion show begins. I would estimate that after choosing an entire outfit with her, 85% of the time she goes with a completely different outfit all the way down to the jewelry!
So ladies, why do you waste our time like this? Are you purposely trying to offend us or turn us off? If you are in a relationship who are you really trying to attract anyway? If your answer is not your boyfriend or your husband I suppose you can disregard this entire article. If you want to keep your man happy and interested why not take our advice seriously once in a while? It can go a long way towards keeping your relationship fresh and healthy.
