Why Would You Want A Winter Wedding?
Winter weddings can be just as much fun as summer weddings! Many people will tell you that you are supposed to get married in the summer
. In their minds, their idea of the perfect wedding is to get married in the spring or summer. Most people have very traditional views of the big day.
I have great news for you! The days of getting married the traditional way are over! You do not have to get married in the middle of the summer. You do not have to have the traditional wedding songs or traditional wedding dance. You can do what you want because it is your big day!
If you got engaged in the middle of summer or early fall, you may be thinking you need to wait until next summer to get married. You do not have to wait that long to get married! One of the big non-traditional trends today is to get married in the middle of winter! Just because your friends tell you to get married in the summer, it doesn't mean you have to wait that long. There are many advantages to getting married during the winter. I know because I got married in the month of January. I used to hate the month of January, but now that I have my wedding anniversary during January, I have something to look forward to every year.
I could spend all day discussing the benefits of having a winter wedding, but here are some of the reasons why you should consider having a winter wedding. During summer, there are many traditional decoration ideas that include candles and specific colors. During the winter, you can still use the traditional decorations, or you can use your imagination and try all sorts of different arrangements. If you are getting married in December, it is perfectly natural to use Christmas decorations. You can save hundreds of dollars on Christmas decorations because most people already own Christmas decorations. If you get married anytime during winter, you can decorate the sanctuary with all white colors or snow flakes to capture the winter season.
It is much easier to get reservations during the winter. Many people are fighting to use the same churches, limousine services, and conference halls during the summer months, but during the winter months, most of these services have openings available. You might have trouble booking the wedding chapel you dreamed of since your childhood, but in the winter, you have a better chance of booking your favorite church! If you live in a warmer climate, you would have a better chance of reserving outdoor venues during the winter months. Hotel rates are generally cheaper during the cold winter months as most families are not traveling this time of year.
There are many benefits to having a winter wedding as opposed to a summer wedding. This is something you want to consider if you want to have a non-traditional wedding, or if you just need to save some money. I was glad I had my wedding in the winter, and I'm sure you will too!
