Planning a wedding may seem to be easy but for the first time planners it will soon become apparent that it is not as easy as it seems

Before deciding on visiting a wedding planner it will be best to firstly find out what to expect from them and have as much information available as possible. It is one thing to go in with ideas and get help to make your dreams reality and quite another to have someone take over the big day and be left realising there is very little of either of you involved.
The wedding planner will have contacts with all the best vendors including on the entertainment side. It will however be best to go to see them individually and not just take someone elses opinion. A good planner will give you all the details you need and allow you plenty of time to make a decision.
If you decide to go and see the people who will be providing the entertainment it will be best to know why you are going to see them and what it is you are concerned about. It will be best to have an idea of how you would like them to present themselves, what sort of music they play and how much time they would expect to be playing music, how much time they would want to talk and when would they want to take breaks? Having a DJ consultation can make the difference between a great event and a fiasco.
There are many reasons for finding out the answers to the above and while judging by appearance may be shallow it is important when it comes to the location and guests. At a socialite wedding they may not want a long haired DJ who is full of tattoos and in the same way a rock event would find it strange to have a DJ in an evening suit. It may be nice to give the DJ a bit of information about all the guests and select records that are special for some guests, but if everyone is chatting all the way through, no one will hear it and it will be just a noise in the background.
