Things don't go as we plan in life. There are always unexpected turns just around the corner, always little incidents that crop up from time to time that knock us off our guard and keep us on our toes. The white wedding that girls all over the world dream of as little girls, with their very own prince charming rarely come true. In fact it seems you can't always plan your life as it would no longer remain your life.
Your life is not a movie, the script most of the time remains unwritten and there is always someone else around the corner waiting to be swept off their feet. When and where you meet this person is not up to you. It is instead left up to fate and there is no way of ever knowing fates divine plan. The white wedding scenario is great in theory and it may work for some people. A church full of the people you most want to be at your wedding, the best man and bridesmaids being childhood friends. The man of your dreams as well as the doves flying out of the church to put the icing on the cake of your big day. But today it seems that if you last more than ten years in marriage you are doing very well and that is if you can actually meet the man of your dreams.
The most likely wedding scenario in modern day weddings is that you meet someone, get to know each other and then reach a point where you feel comfortable enough with each other to live together. A couple of years will go by and your man may get the courage up to ask you to marry him. You will have a wedding perhaps not even in a church; it can even be performed by a friend or relative.
These days wedding have become somewhat unceremonious and the Christian ways are drifting slowly out of everyday life. As such the serenity of a wedding and the traditional values are weakening every year and there are less and less white weddings every day now. If you meet your prince charming and have the wedding you planned when you were a little girl then you have struck gold. Hold onto him.
