Surveys and dating profile analysis show that there is a clear Number One Favorite Sexual Position that women seeking men online are really yearning for.

"Dating profile analysis" is an internal study that dating sites are doing to determine what their clients REALLY want, even if they aren't mentioning it.

When it comes to sex, some dating sites don't allow blatant sexual language in their profiles. So members have to be subtle in their language. Others do allow frank sexual language, but even then, many women don't want to come out and say -- "After all these years, this is what I've always wanted." Their sexual secrets remain secret.

The adult dating site SexyAds, which does allow open discussion (and even adult chat and videos) lists the following most sought after activities in their females members' Enhanced Profiles/Sexuality:

1. Receiving oral sex

2. Giving oral sex

3. Mutual masturbation

4. Kissing

For guys who think that women's favorite lovemaking position is sexual intercourse, finding out what women really want in their intimate encounters can be a surprise.

But, guys, here's a reality check:

Since the Fifties, major sex studies have shown that up to 60% of women do not acheive an orgasm through sexual intercourse alone. (In fact, it's becoming a concern among sex thereapists and counsellors, including myself, that so many older women are still reporting that they have never achieved an orgasm in their lives. They don't even know what an orgasm is!)

"Men are more likely to orgasm when sex includes vaginal intercourse and women are more likely to orgasm when they receive oral sex," concluded a recent survey called the The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behaviour.

The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behaviour (NSSHB) is one of the most comprehensive studies on these topics in almost two decades and documents the sexual experiences and condom-use behaviours of 5,865 adolescents and adults ages 14 to 94.

Overall 91% of men and 64% of women report having an orgasm at their last sexual encounter.

We're mostly having sex with people we are in relationships with, but not only. Describing sex in the past year:

53% of participants were with a romantic partner

24% had a casual sex partner

9% had sex with a "new acquaintance"

While the survey was unique in offering people the chance to describe multiple sexual activities within one sexual encounter, it still focused on four kinds of sexual activities: masturbation (solo or partnered), oral sex (giving, receiving, both), Survey of Sexual Health, anal intercourse. In terms of lifetime experience, here are a few of the numbers:

90% of men and 74% of women report solo masturbation.

77% of men report receiving and 75% report performing oral sex with a female partner.

76% of women report receiving and 73% report performing oral sex with a male partner.

31% of men and 34% of women report engaging in anal sex with an opposite sex partner.

And "oral sex" may have a different meaning with younger women.

A recent survey by the University of Kentucky, Lexington, discovered that while majority of younger adults of university age agree penile-vaginal intercourse is sex, less than one in five think that oral-genital contact counts as "having sex."

This attitude toward oral sex represents a dramatic and sudden shift in thinking since 1991, when a similar survey found that nearly twice as many young adults (about 40 percent) would classify oral-genital contact as sex. The survey involved 477 undergraduate students, mostly white heterosexual females, enrolled in a human sexuality class.

The survey found that only 20 percent of those surveyed said oral contact with their partner's genitals would constitute sex. The study concluded, "Males were much more likely than females to say sex included the following behaviours -- their partner touched their genitals, orally stimulating a partner's breasts or nipples, touching a partner's breast or nipples."

After correlating the data, here's the conclusion:

Women participate in one, two or many positions, usually depending on what their partner wants.

Women who have recieved oral sex (cunnilingus) usually report that this is how they achieved their "most intense" orgasms. Partnered masturbation is often listed as second.

Many women online do not mention their sexual wants in their profiles. But they ARE looking for it.
