I decided to eat nutritiously. And that means having food from the 3 main groups namely, carbohydrates, protein and fats.

Grains, fruits and vegetables are all sources of carbohydrates. My secret to lose 20 pounds with the hoodie diet was to eat more fruits and vegetables because they were less dense in calories than grain products. However, I would opt for whole grains instead of refined grain products if I had to choose between the two.

I didn't restrict to specific type of fruits. I ate a wide variety for their vitamins and minerals also. Apple was my favorite fruit so I always ate one immediately after I consumed my hoodia. I took dark green and leafy vegetables for the fiber content. They also tasted good. You should also eat broccoli, asparagus and green beans as part of your hoodie diet.

My protein source came from both plant and animal. I took 0.4 grams multiply by my weight in pounds to obtain my protein requirement. Beans, legumes and nuts are good sources of plant protein.

I made an effort to have animal protein as part of my meal at least once per day. However, I only consumed either lean meat or meat that came from free range animal.

Eating the right kind of fats actually helped me lost weight. You should obtain your fats from avocados, flax seeds, salmon, tout and coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil.

I steamed, boiled and baked most of my food, and restricted fried food to 3 times per week max.

4) The Simplest Exercise for Weight Loss

Sprint. That's right wind sprinting. This was the easiest part.

When I reached home in the evening, I would do 12 set of wind sprinting covering 100 meters per sprint after a 5 minutes warm up. In between each sprint, I would take a 1 minute rest and finally ended the session with 5 minutes warm down.

If you can, you should do an uphill wind sprinting instead. It will be doubly effective.
