. There are many diets out there that are great and have helped thousands lose weight. But which are the most effective?
The most effective diets out there are the ones that have a few similar traits.
Simplicity
Nobody wants to follow a diet that is extremely rigorous and requires hours a day just to compute. Sure, there are some people that love this extreme program, however, most will just get burned out. For most, a simple and easy to follow program will be best. Of course, if you are starting out in weight loss diets and don't know anything about calories or dieting everything's going to sound complex. This is why you must inform yourself of basic skill sets such as counting calories, timing your meals, etc.
The hardest thing about any diet is the change in lifestyle. When you go from eating two unhealthy meals a day to five or six healthy but small meals it can be quite difficult. Adjusting is where most people fail. They enjoyed their previous schedule before and many times eventually revert back to it.
The Transitional Period
One of the most important factors that is going to make or break your diet program is how you go into it. If you go from eating fast food three times a day and no healthy foods to a diet that includes only the healthiest and most natural food items you are fighting a very uphill battle.
Habits are hard to break. This is why you must adjust and slowly implement changes in your food and calorie intake amount. Slowly start adding more healthy choices. For example, replace the white bleached flower breads with whole grain breads. Replace the overly processed creamy peanut butter with more natural brands. Choose natural fruits over canned fruits with corn syrup laced all throughout it.
As you gradually make these changes you will start seeing changes. And when you start making more and more changes you develop a momentum where it becomes easier and easier to change unhealthy habits.
