The day was looking really busy with lots going on all through the day. A civil ceremony, traditional Hindu wedding and reception, all packed into one day. It was a beautiful day with lovely blue skies. The wedding took place in a stunning Vaulty Manor in Heybridge, Essex.
Shimon and Adam are a lovely couple. One of the most relaxed bride and groom, Ive come across. Civil ceremony started with just close family and friends and then rest of the guest started arriving before the start of Hindu ceremony. There were some beautiful moments during the entire wedding. After the Hindu ceremony was over, Adam and Shimon were standing and listening to what priest was saying. The priest then said that whoever now sits down first will rule the house hold. Before Adam could realize, Shimon was already sitting down. It was a very funny moment, which cant be described in words. It could have been just experienced. The entire hall burst out laughing.
Just before the reception, Adams Grandpa took an Aston Martin for a spin. The entire family was excited and so was Grandpa. It was so good to see his expressions when he came back from the drive and to listen to his experience.
Shimon and Adam entered the reception hall along with the duet between the bagpipe and dhol. It was an experience to hear something so good. Who can imagine a duet between a bagpipe and a dhol. Two different instruments from two different countries. But it worked perfect. They had not even practiced it. It was beautiful.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY DARTMOUTH HOUSE, MAYFAIR, LONDON
did a pre wedding shoot for Phuong and James just few months ago and time just seemed to have flied. Here I was to photograph a lovely couple on the most amazing day of their lives. Phuong emailed me a day before the wedding and asked me to get an umbrella, the weather forecast was not looking good at all. It was to rain whole day. The weather in July reminded me of monsoon in India. It used to rain all day, every day. Th wedding ceremony took place in Dartmouth House, which is one of the most sought after venues in London for meetings and events. Built in 1750, it is a grade II listed building. We dared the rain and went out to get some formal shots of bride and groom. The reception was at Shanghai Blues one of the finest Chinese restaurant in the capital. I really enjoyed photographing Phuong and James wedding.
