Wedding Photographer - Who Should You Hire?
There are many different themes a wedding may have
, hence, anyone can also get as many suggestions or recommendations as to the direction of photography that will be used to cover the occasion. If you are having a hard time getting suggestions about this, you can try researching online. You may be surprised but the Internet has a lot of tips but it will be up to you whether to follow those tips entirely. After all, anyone can pose as a knowledgeable and expert photographer giving you all those suggestions. Turns out the guy's even probably a neophyte, so be discriminate when it comes to heeding advice, especially from "photographers" you don't even know.
Basic rules we should follow never change, though. So begin with always looking into the background of the person who claims he can make your wedding a photographic masterpiece. Looking at the portfolio of pictures that he said he has taken won't be enough. Don't just believe things you read. Everyone has the freedome to write anything they want to entice customers. Don't fall for those things unless you are 100% sure that he is actually what he says he is. And don't confine your choices to your immediate locality. There are many photographers in other areas so confining your self in your locality won't be good.
Of course, even a nice-looking website that supposedly showcases a photographer's portfolio can be a hoax.
Don't settle for anything less. Look at different portfolios. You'll somehow find or not find a level of consistency with the approach to the photography. Photographers, most often than not, have signature styles in their pictures and these styles will be evidenced by his portfolio. If the photos don't look coherent at all, those are probably not one person's work. Apparently, such as site has been created to deceive people into booking for a photographer who may not really have any experience to be proud of.
When you decide to hire someone, make sure that he is comfortable of you giving your comments and suggestions. Everybody wants a certain touch to anything they feel strongly about. Giving specific suggestions that would come to your mind about how you would want the entire event to be photograph is also important. Don't hesitate to discuss this with whomever you have hired with confidence.
You certainly can make suggestions as to what type of pose or lighting you would like for certain portions of the ceremony. Of course, when the expert seems to be not sold to the idea, you're better off believing him because if he is, indeed, an expert, he would know what works and what doesn't.
Therefore, you should also be open to suggestions from the person you hired who has the adequate knowledge about photography.
