Wedding Photographer - Choosing The Right One
There are many different themes a wedding may have
, hence, anyone can also get as many suggestions or recommendations as to the direction of photography that will be used to cover the occasion. If you are having a hard time getting suggestions about this, you can try researching online. You may be surprised but the Internet has a lot of tips but it will be up to you whether to follow those tips entirely. Not all articles or tips over the internet come from a reputable or an expert photographer. Some tips that are found on the internet would come from amateurs so you are allowed to discriminate in choosing which advice to follow.
Basic rules we should follow never change, though. So begin with always looking into the background of the person who claims he can make your wedding a photographic masterpiece. Looking at the portfolio of pictures that he said he has taken won't be enough. Don't just believe things you read. Everyone has the freedome to write anything they want to entice customers. Unless you are convinced that you're actually hearing it from a certified pro, don't believe just yet. Think outside the box. Don't just look for photographers who are from your area. There are many photographers in other areas so confining your self in your locality won't be good.
Of course, even a nice-looking website that supposedly showcases a photographer's portfolio can be a hoax.
Don't settle for anything less. Look at different portfolios. You'll somehow find or not find a level of consistency with the approach to the photography. Photographers, most often than not, have signature styles in their pictures and these styles will be evidenced by his portfolio. If you don't see any distinct style in the photos, those are most likely not his work. Apparently, such as site has been created to deceive people into booking for a photographer who may not really have any experience to be proud of.
It also wouldn't mean that just because you're confident about a photographer you've finally decided to hire, you can't give your inputs or suggestions yourself. It is, after all, your wedding so the photographer should consider your suggestion if you think that some things don't meet your standards. Giving specific suggestions that would come to your mind about how you would want the entire event to be photograph is also important. Don't hesitate to discuss this with whomever you have hired with confidence.
Suggestions like the types of poses or lighting for certain parts of the event can also be raised. Of course, when the expert seems to be not sold to the idea, you're better off believing him because if he is, indeed, an expert, he would know what works and what doesn't.
Therefore, you should also be open to suggestions from the person you hired who has the adequate knowledge about photography.
