Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars for a very basic site like in the nineties you can now spend under a thousand dollars and get a site that blows the old ones out of the water! And for a few thousand dollars you can now run your business online.
With the growth of the internet and many online office tools it has become increasingly easy for small web site development teams to break off and form their own companies. This competition is allowing prices to drop and companies to benefit from fast moving web development teams instead of stuffy behemoth companies.
