Eating food substances rich in riboflavin helps a person in staying health and slim. Some of the food substances that are rich in vitamin B2 are milk, almonds, cheese etc. By increasing consumption of these food items and decreasing consumption of other high calorie food stuff, a person can easily reduce his weight.

Similarly, vitamin B3 also helps in reducing the weight of body. This vitamin is also called as niacin and speeds up the process of burning of fat, proteins and carbohydrates in the body. Apart from this, niacin also removes toxins from the body and produces hydrochloric acid. Some of the food substances that contain vitamin B3 in good quantities are green leafy vegetables, meat, egg etc. Vitamin B5 has similar effect on the body, as it increases the rate of metabolism. This vitamin is found in nuts, chicken, liver etc.

One vitamin that is very popular as a metabolism booster is vitamin B12. It also acts as additional source of energy. It speeds up the digestion of food and burns glucose and fat. Before taking doses of vitamin B12 in the form of supplement etc, a person must consult a doctor.

Since vitamin C has the capability of increasing the potential of body to oxidize fat, it also helps in decreasing weight from the body. Apart from this, vitamin C is also helpful in decreasing fatigue.
