Unique Wedding Ideas To Personalize Your Special Day
They say everything under the sun has already been done
, but that doesn't mean you can't come up with some unique wedding ideas. In an absolute worst case scenario you can just watch a few episodes of any of the "plan-my-wedding" type shows popping up on cable stations everywhere and downright "steal"'an idea. Isn't that kind of the point of the TV show anyway? "Hey, look what we did. You can do this, too! (Just remember we did it first.)"
Starting with a theme is usually, though not necessarily, the best place to start. That way you have something to base your ideas on. You want to try for something that both a parties will enjoy. Bubble fountains in a pink Barbie-themed wedding might not be the event he had in mind and she may not be into having vows recited in the mud-pit of a monster truck show. Then again, who knows what you want your wedding to be? You do... And that's my point!
Nowadays, invitations can be professionally created or printed right on your own computer. But why not try something a little bit different. My favorite wedding invitation came in a large brown inter-office type envelope. Inside was a homemade coloring book and a box of crayons. The book was a personal adaptation of the children's book "Let's Marry, Said the Cherry" by N. M. Bodecker'where the bride and groom and their friends and family had become the characters in the book. (In this case, various fruits and vegetables that were turned into caricature of the guests.)
Guest love to receive special little souvenirs of of the weddings they attend. Why not step out of the box and bypass the traditional Jordan almond sachet and pass out something a little more personal. Creating your own party favors for the reception that are both fun and functional isn't as big a challenge as it may seem.
A personalized CD loaded with songs and music from your wedding makes and ideal gift. Add an adorable photo of you and yours on the label and you've got an inexpensive, yet personal gift that can be enjoyed many times over. Like to sing? (Or be entertained by those who think they can?) Schedule some karaoke time where individuals can get an audio or video recording of their booze enhance performance. Then keep a master copy for future creative (or persuasive) use!
The cake always seems to be a central focus of any wedding. Flipping through those TV channels again can help to spark some ideas. Not only are there the reality wedding programs, but there are several cake-making TV shows, too. Aside from the cakes that cover the traditional to the more modern there is also the opportunity to go totally original and try something a bit different. How about alternative sweets and treats in the shape of a towering wedding cake? The choice is all yours.
Every wedding is already unique because of the two people getting married. Two different sets of families and friends are coming together to create a special single community - at least for a day. But, you hold the key to what memories your guest will take home with them. So, what would you like them to be?
There are boundless opportunities out there for creating unique wedding ideas. No matter what your style or theme, you can always create just the right personal touch.
