Three Month Old Baby Diarrhea
Sometimes, it may seem like you have adjusted to taking care of your little bundle.
By the time your baby is 3 months old, you would have become accustomed to his varying demands for feedings, erratic sleeping schedules, diapering and many more things that come with being a parent.
Now that you are more responsible and caring for your little one and as you begin to think that baby care is not so taxing after all, just then something happens and everything changes.
Your baby may be sick or he may have 3 month old baby diarrhea which is also associated with nausea and vomiting. If your baby shows symptoms of the 3 month old baby diarrhea, then you may need to consult the doctor.
This usually occurs when a viral infection occurs in the gastrointestinal tract of the 3 month old baby. It is important to maintain good hygienic condition when taking care of the baby.
If the baby ingests anything that is contaminated then it would lead to the 3 month old baby diarrhea. If your baby is passing very loose and watery stools that foul smell, then it could mean a gastrointestinal infection.
If the baby has been breastfeeding, then the doctor may advise you to continue feeding the baby and also give him oral electrolytes in order to replenish the body fluids that are lost due to the 3 month old baby diarrhea.
In case the baby is taking formula, then the doctor may substitute it with soy based formula, in order to avoid complications due to lactose intolerance in the baby.
