Cheap outfits often claim to be made out of high quality materials, but are in fact made out of fake sub-standard fabrics. Once you get on the slopes, you will get cold very quickly in fake skiwear.
It is very important to buy good quality gloves and eye protection. If your hands get cold, the rest of you will feel cold too. On the slopes, the sun is much stronger due to the sunlight reflecting off the snow; it can very quickly damage your eyes.
Little extras can make a big different when you are skiing. For example, a clear pocket for your ski pass can save a lot of fumbling in the lift queue. Likewise, buying a suit that has no toggles on the zips will mean that you will not be able to open your jacket without taking your gloves off.
