The way the alignment system works in darkfall online
Alignment in darkfall is with a numerical value used to judge your standing with
people around you-how good or evil you are regarded by other characters and by guard towers. Kill evil characters to gain alignment, while kill good ones to lose alignment. Your alignment is always displayed on the health window, on the lowest bar. You can see your current alignment status by moving mouse over the healthy window. You will always be regarded as evil by members of opposing factions whatever your alignment is. The way to see if a player is considered good or evil is by targeting him. If his name is in blue, he is referred to as good, and you will be punished by killing him. If his name appears in red, you will gain alignment by killing him. If you attack a blue character, you will go rogue for a few minutes during which you can be killed by other players who do so without losing their alignment and no matter what your alignment is. You will not have any alignment penalties if you hit your own faction members. However, if your clan is at war with another clan, you will turn rogue if you kill these players I your own party. If you are in red you will respawn at a chaos stone when you die. There are no guard towers at chaos stones. You have to kill evil players in order to become good or blue again. The value of being evil is much large than the good ones. Kill one good character will make you turn evil, while to become good again, you have to kill several evil one.
