Density is also another thing which plays its role in making a city's silhouette. Density doent stand for the people who reside there. It is about the distance between each building and the pattern in which it is equally placed among them.

Buildings can have different styles and organizations. Everyone has a different opinion about which style is good, it is the overall effect of different styles that makes up for a skyline and if all the buildings are of the similar size or style, the skyline would not be very interesting, despite the height and density. There are a lot of buildings around the world which are regarded as a marvel of art or a feat of science. Skylines which include such marvels, are said to be better than the ones with no prominent structures nearby. There are a lot of cities with prominent skylines but there are many of them which are just duplication of other famous skylines. This actually knocks them off the list of best skylines as they are short of originality and uniqueness.

The area around these builidings is very important when it comes to the overall appearance of the skyline for it is called the heaven in the background and it enhances the beauty of the foreground, i.e. the skyline. Mountains and water bodies are crucial parts of these artificial horizons. So, when watching the picture in whole, it is the amalgam of nature's divine beauty and man's super marvels that make a silhouette bordering the city's horizon.
