Phase One
The shortest of the three phases, phase one is two weeks long. This phase is designed to help the dieter pull away from unhealthy foods by completely cutting sugary foods, alcohol and starches from your diet. Phase Two

Phase Three
Phase three is the final phase and usually lasts the longest as it is the weight maintenance phase. In this phase, you use the discipline and knowledge that you learned in the first two phases to maintain your weight loss. This is the least restrictive of the three phases as it is on you as the dieter to continue using what you have learned.
As a whole, the South Beach Supercharged Diet is designed to be more user friendly than the original South Beach Diet, but the main principles of the diet remain the same.
The most noticeable differences between the South Beach Supercharged Diet and its predecessor are the addition of a few new foods and the introduction of 20 minutes of interval walking to help boost metabolism. Overall, the South Beach Supercharged Diet can be an effective way to lose weight, much of which is typically lost in the first phase.
Drawbacks
There are three major drawbacks to the South Beach Supercharged Diet-
1.The diet is intended for people looking to lose a lot of weight. This means that those of us just looking to lose 15 to 20 pounds are going to find it takes a bit longer than we would like using this diet
2.The South Beach Supercharged Diet can be very expensive. The most basic access to the diet costs $5/week online in addition to the cost of the South Beach foods you are encouraged to buy.
3.Due to restriction on foods in Phase One of the South Beach Supercharged Diet, the diet can get extremely boring and repetitive, especially for those of us with a bit of a sweet tooth.
