Twenty five years, a quarter of a century, is a pretty long stretch of time
, especially if we are talking about the length of time of a relationship between two persons. It is not that difficult to make the wedding vow to live together till death when young and in love, when what waits ahead seems to be like a leap into the fictional Neverland. But to actually go through lifes journey holding each others hands in good times and in bad times, in joy as well as in sorrow, is not that simple nor is it that easy. That is even more true if we are talking
about doing it successfully for twenty five years.
But when the couple did make it by holding together their marriage through all those years, it is a beautiful thing, something that is really worth celebrating. The 25th Wedding Anniversary is christened as the Silver Wedding Anniversary. On that day, couples normally party with their friends, visit familiar places, go to the theater or see a movie, or have a romantic evening, maybe with a candle light dinner, Champaign, and recalling back the years they had passed through together, laughing about some and may even cry a little over some, but victoriously in both cases as they had successfully passed through them.
Last, but certain not the least, couples normally give gifts to each other to commemorate the day which is really not commemorating only that day but the twenty five years that they victoriously walked passed together. The gifts that they give on that day are usually items made of something silver. They usually vary from flowers and cards with sparkling silver glitters, real roses preserved in silver, or beautiful sterling silver jewelry. Giving a lovely sterling silver necklace to your partner for twenty five years may also work as a message thanking her for hanging around bravely with much love for all those years.
