Many people today attempt to lose weight for another person
. This is not at all a good idea because at the end of the day, there are only 2 people that you know will be in your life no matter what. Those people are yourself and your children.
1. Do It For Yourself
Lose weight because YOU want to. See something in yourself that says you need or want to lose weight. Money can buy anything but health and happiness. Therefore, your health can no be traded or upgraded through dollars, only through action.
It is terribly depressing to see friends from high school still as skinny as ever 15 years later. Don't allow yourself to fall behind the curve and continue to look from the outside in. You owe it to yourself to be the best you.
Also, there are many weight loss programs available to try. Find one that fits your personal skill set. This may include programs where you do no physical exercise or completely based around doing some form of workout.
2. Do It For Your Children
Possibly the only other person(s) you should lose weight for are your children. They will need you to play the biggest parts in their lives, especially up to age 18. Even after 18 I'm sure you would want to be around to their lives develop.
There are many parent child activities that will be affected when you re overweight. Playing catch outside, an occasional game of hide and seek, or trips to the park will be cut down immensely because of the burden on your body.
The majority of kids' true hero is their parent. You want to set a good example for them through positive means, How can you tell your child to eat healthy through their lives and you are a very heavy person? Your response should never be "don't be like me when you get older", that can be devastating.
Take the time to make a few changes to your life style that will impact you and your family in a positive way over the long haul. You should want to be at your best, and your family wants nothing less.
