The Man with Many Faces

In the Hollywood industry there are lots of excellent and extraordinary actors who

just mesmerize the people with their acting but there are very few actors who play such a character which attain a powerful image in everyones life that people get attached to the character on a personal level. One of these actors is Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp is indeed a very versatile actor and has a lot of diversity in his roles whether it is Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean or Willy Wonka in Charlie and the chocolate factory or Edward Scissorhands. Whatever the case maybe Johnny Depp has made the role of these characters very powerful and fun to watch. I will take the liberty on commenting on four of its best characters. Which are: Captain Jack Sparrow. Edward Scissorhands. Sweeny Todd. John Dillinger. 1. Captain Jack Sparrow: CaptainJack Sparrowis the mainprotagonistin thePirates of the Caribbean film seriesfranchisewho is portrayed byJohnny Depp. He was introduced in the filmPirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and appeared in the back-to-back sequels,Dead Man's Chest andAt World's End, as well as in a future film,On Stranger Tides. Sparrow is the Brethren Court Pirate Lord of the Caribbean Sea and can be treacherous, surviving mostly by using wit and negotiation rather than weapons and force; although he will fight if necessary, he tries to flee most dangerous situations. Sparrow is introduced seeking to regain his ship, the Black Pearl from his mutinous first mate Hector Barbossa, attempts to escape his blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones while battling the East India Trading Co. No one could have ever fit the character of this children book series better then Johnny Depp when it comes to its dialogues, or the costume or the movement of Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp was also nominated for Oscar for this role 2. Edward Scissorhands: In the 1990 Johnny Depp played a very sweet and lovable role of Edward Scissorhands. Edward Scissorhands was made by a very old inventor. The inventor gave him everything but one thing: hands. Sadly, the inventor died before Edward could be completed. Seventeen years later, an Avon lady named Peg Boggs finds Edward and brings him to a colorful land called Suburbia. There, Edward shows his true talent by cutting hair, grooming pets and making beautiful ice and topiary sculptures. He also falls in love with Peg's beautiful daughter, Kim. Most of the neighborhood grows to accept and love the strange newcomer, but his innocent morals and unusually kind nature makes it clear that he does not fit in within the 'normal' world. 3. Sweeny Todd: Sweeny Todd is also known as The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Sweeney Todd is a fictional villain/antihero played by Johnny Depp. A barber and serial killer, the character appears in various English language works starting in the mid-19th century. He started out as a normal London man named Benjamin Barker, with a wife and child, but was banished because a judge loved his wife. His weapon of choice is a straight razor, with which he slits his victim's throats. In some versions of the story his friend, and accomplice, Nellie (sometimes Margery or Claudette) Lovett, bakes the carcasses into meat pies. Johnny Depp played a brilliant negative role in this musical/thriller and was nominated for Oscar for this character. 4. John Dillinger: Johhny Depp played this real notorious bank robber in mid-western America who was from June 22, 1903 - July 22, 1934. Some considered John Dilinger a dangerous criminal, while others idolized him as a present-day Robin Hood. He gained this latter reputation (and the nickname "Jackrabbit") for his graceful movements during bank heists, such as leaping over the counter (a movement he supposedly copied from the movies) and many narrow getaways from police. His exploits, along with those of other criminals of the 1930s Depression era, such as Bonnie and Clyde and Ma Barker, dominated the attention of the American press and its readers during what is sometimes referred to as the public enemy era (1931-1935), a period which led to the further development of the modern and more sophisticated FBI. John Dillinger was a bank robber in the "Public Enemy" Era of the 1930's, considered by many to be a dangerous criminal. Johnny Depp made an extraordinary John Dillinger as his excellent acting in a negative role which portrayed John Dillinger.
