I visited my local library a few days ago and grabbed 4 movies, the last being one i had not heard of
and I expected to watch about 10-15 min of it and say, "THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT ONE". I was hooked from the
minute it started till it ended, with captivation and smiles and wonderment and all of that.
OUR Obe Wan from Star Trek was perhaps born in this movie. OUR lead character knows what he
is seeking, and will do anything to get there, excluding killing anyone. HE twists, fibs, hides,
works and is perhaps the most creative man in the world at the time. But he must create mini illusions of
job, of position of end result---or he will confuse others or lose resources.
We see little of his peers while the bosses try to figure out who is working on such unique
"stuff" [they haven' t the wisdom to perceive an experiment so all they can do is stare and jump when
yelled at.
Just when he has tentatively proven he has discovered a wonder in science and fabrics, his
boss' boss' boss perceives another concern and tries to shut it all down........and has him
kidnapped.
His female peers are on his side then not on his side then no one is on his side and then
the boss' daughter pulls a switcherroo.
Dodge and run, hide and con, evade and get free and then, when he meets his landlady at a most
unexpected place and time, he instantly perceives what others have been afraid of.........but the
director is not over with us yet.
NOT everything we invent is what we think it is.
