The bad breeders in the business for financial gain, maybe didn't know or lost track the fine reason for the luxurious Doberman. This breed was crafted to a end result that should fit the purpose it was supposed to attcheive. To be an special protection dog, the Pincher needs, speed, muscle and responsivness. The bigger and heavier the doberman, the further they lose these traits. It is also not healthy for a Doberman dog to be overly big. This allows more stress on the dobermans heart. A perfect Pinscher can be no more than 27 inches at the shoulder blades for a male and 25 inches to a bitch.
These dogs are not meant to be big, bad, nastly protective dogs. Dobermans are really very gentle, loving, loyal and thoughtfull. Henry called the young puppy 'Borong the Warlock'. He was a normal build male Doberman, with a stablecalm, caring personality. The breed loved human company and had no issues with other canines. Henry began to show Borong and trained him in obedience. After that he won his Champion award. When Borong got a little older, he quickly became a popular stud and was parent to a great number of litters. The offspring established him as one of the greatest sires of the era. Borong the Warlock pased away not long after Henry Frampton pased away.
Borong's name, the Warlock, and the name for being a famous award winner, helped establish his fame. Some of his origional puppies were said to be in an area of Texas and it's thought the legend started there. Either way it started, the legend has multiplied, and to the present day the Warlock breed name is used to market oversized, badly bred versions of the breed.
