The Best Way to Lose Weight in the Tummy Area

Losing weight can be one of the hardest things people try to do

, but, let's face it; there are a lot of people who could lose a few pounds. With all the fast food, sugary foods, and bad eating habits have caused a lot of people to pack on a few extra pounds. Not everyone really cares about losing that weight even though they should because they put themselves at risk for a lot of health complications. If you are one of the few who have made the choice to lose those extra pounds you may have run into problems about losing the weight in your tummy region.

A lot of the time the stomach area is the last place that loses fat when you begin to lose weight. This can be very frustrating and hard to overcome. The best thing to do is watch your diet. Eat healthy foods, and follow a diet that has proven results. You won't see results over night and it will take time to begin loosing the stomach fat but you will eventually. Avoid sodas, candy, ice cream, frozen yogurt, alcohol, and any other items that are fattening and unhealthy. Dieting if your first step in the right direction the next step is only doing fat burning exercises.

You may think doing a million sit ups will burn your stomach fat, but, the fact of the matter is that it will only make you abs very strong and not burn all the fat. Your ab muscles will be ripped but you won't be able to see them because a layer of fat will be covering them. The real fat burning exercises are high intensity cardio workouts with little rest. You want your heart rate to rise fast and then as soon as it recovers, spike it up again. Intervals running, biking, and stair workouts are excellent fat burning exercise. Your rest period should always be a smaller amount of time than your intense periods. For example, if you are doing stairs for 2 minutes straight and getting your heart rate really high you rest should never exceed 2 minutes. In fact, your rest time should only be about half or maybe even one quarter of your high intensity time.

You always want to avoid running, biking, or running stairs at the same pace for the entire workout. That sometimes will in fact save fat for energy and not burn anything. You also want to make sure your total workout last at least 30 minutes but you should aim for one hour at least 3-5 days a week if not more. Remember not to push your body too much and workup to being able to last for an hour. You can also add in pushups, sit-ups, and pull-ups to these high intensity workouts. Just remember to keep your rest to a minimum. If you ever begin to feel light headed or sick you should take a break or end that workout for the day. If it continues over and over you may need to consult a doctor.
