Favoured Techniques

Iso- tension was a favourite of Arnold Schwarzenegger which involved just flexing the muscle really hard and holding it in that position for at least a count of ten. It has been said that this routine gave him a really chiselled, rock hard look.

Increase the number of reps you do. Some pros swear that by doing a set of 100 reps, when they go back to lifting heavy weights at lower reps, their muscles better respond and grow more quickly.

Reducing the time between sets is also another favourite which also gives you great fitness. If you are having a 60 second rest between sets, try and reduce it by 10 seconds on successive workouts. This will tire you very quickly.

Remember the old saying when doing any exercise routine building muscle is 10 percent spent working out and 90 percent nutrition and rest. Dont overdo it and give your body plenty of time to recover.
