? Imagine no one laughs at my jokes? Do I bring up that evening in Sin city that no one else knows about? What if I make a fool of myself in front of all of those people?

These are definitely just about all thoughts that went through my head after i had been sought after to be the best man at my brother's wedding ceremony. Being the best man was not tough, although the need to give the best man speech while in front of all those guests is what kept me up at night.

As the big event approached, it absolutely was easy to put off. "It will certainly come to me," I believed. The days and weeks went by, plus the bachelor party was over and well, lo and behold, the best man speech never ever did actually "come to me" as I had envisioned.

The day of the marriage ceremony came and I'd not done just one little bit of of planning for the best man speech. I didn't quite find out when I was expected to present my best man speech, and I was not particularly certain of the actual etiquette required. Thus, that day, I anxiously wrote down a couple of of interesting items on a napkin, figuring I could "wing" the rest of the speech.

Take this from me, be ready - it's always awkward to this day to even see someone from the wedding party, and it might have been entirely definitely avoided.
