The Benefits Of A Beautiful Conservatory
It is difficult to overstate exactly the difference a well designed and beautifully crafted conservatory can make, not only to your property but also to your way of life. A conservatory not only adds valuable extra space to your property but is more often than not more aesthetically pleasing than a conventional brick built extension.
A conservatory can provide you with a great deal of versatile space. It can be used as a kitchen extension, a sunroom, a children's play area or simply just somewhere to relax and unwind after the exertions of the day. With the technological advances in double glazing a conservatory can provide all year round living, whatever the weather. Speaking from my own experiences here in the countryside of Gloucestershire, there is simply nothing better than sitting in the comfort of my conservatory while the wind howls across the hills and the rain lashes down!
In the current uncertain economic climate a huge number of people are making the decision to improve their existing property rather than move. In fact the exorbitant costs of moving house with solicitors fees and the like are almost on a par with actually building the conservatory. So it makes economic sense, and it makes aesthetic sense so are there actually any drawbacks at all?
Well yes of course there are. It would be nave to suggest otherwise. Firstly you have to be realistic about the potential loss of garden space. Invariably your new conservatory will impinge upon your garden and if this is already on the small side then you will probably not see the benefit of the added internal space a conservatory offers. Be realistic, if your garden is only around 30 feet long then you would have to do some serious thinking about your priorities.
Secondly, even though a conservatory can be relatively inexpensive you need to be aware that the increase in value to your property will not match the initial cost. For example if your new conservatory costs 10,000 to install then you should not expect the value of your property to increase accordingly, it won't. As we have mentioned a conservatory can be cheap. However, there is an old adage that you should definitely bear in mind and that is "you always get what you paid for". My personal recommendation would always be to purchase the best conservatory you can afford, using the best materials and the most reputable of suppliers. A cheap job will always look like a cheap job and will do nothing to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your property.
All things considered then the addition of a brand new conservatory to your property will need to be a personal decision. I am a huge fan and couldn't possibly live without mine and would recommend wholeheartedly that you consider making a conservatory part of yours.
