Stop Struggling With Weight Loss, You Are Only Three Steps From Success
Losing weight in three steps, an old idea, and old topic, hashed and rehashed, but yet here we are again delving into hallowed ground. Most of us know the facts, we cannot consume more calories than we burn without experiencing a weight gain problem. That is a reality, a fact, however you categorize it.
The solution to our weight loss issues is an easy one, we know what we have to do to combat the battle of the bulge. We know, that in order to maintain a constant weight or shape we have to burn more calorie that we consume.This can be achieved with exercise and other methods that increases our body's metabolism.
So there it is, problem solve, we know the issues and we have a solution. Very simple right, there is an answer to our problem. So why are we so entangled in this ongoing web of weight loss issues? why are so many of us losing this battle? The answers are not easy, If they were I would write a book and retire, and I am sure you would too. Here is where I come to you with my 3 steps from success.
Step one is probably the most important of the three, so if you are serious about the process, you have to start with a Goal, A realistic goal, you have to start with writing your goal down, you have to ask your self some questions, what do i want to achieve? how much weight do I want to lose? in what time frame do i want to lose the weight? what am I willing to do to achieve the results I want? This will prepare you mentally for the bruising you will get when you are actually implementing your weight loss goals.
This is the step where most people fail, because you can't achieve or implement a process with out directions or plans. A goal is like a road map, in order get to your destination you have to know where it is and how to get to it.
This goal setting step is the same for actually almost any achievement that we want to accomplish in life, I can't emphasize enough how important it is. So now we have a weight loss goal, we know exactly what we want to achieve, and when we want to achieve it. We also have it in writing, in a location where we will be reminded on a daily basis.
Step two is the actual implementation of your goal on a daily schedule. Here is where you start to actually do the work, that will take you to your point of success.This is where you will be working on tasks, such as watching your calorie intake, exercising, replacing or improving parts of you diet. In other words you will be doing all the tasks that are goal oriented, and avoiding temptations and pitfalls that are goal busters.
In this step you will be focused on the strategies that will help you achieve your weight loss goals. In step one you mentally prepared yourself with a goal, a road map, or a plan however you wish to term it. In this step you are physically setting up and implementing your goal on a consistent daily basis.
These two steps alone will lead you to your goal. If you continue to focus daily on your goal and implement your weight loss strategies, you will no doubt be successful, there is no way that you can fail.
Step 3 is maintaining the success we achieved, It is a continuation of step two, it is using the knowledge from the previous steps to maintain your success point, or improve on that success. Step 3 is really all about maintaining a change in life style. It is not easy to embrace and maintain changes in life styles, we are creatures of habit. In order to maintain the success we achieved, we no doubt have to make changes regarding our diets and exercise routines.
We have to be vigilant, we must continue to implement and improve on the work that helped us achieved our goals. When we stay on this maintenance track, they will eventually become our new habits replacing the old ones. This is when the change in life style really starts to take hold and weight loss issues are no longer a problem.
