If a breast implant were to rupture, the silicone gel inside would not run out like water or syrup, but would stay in place. However, a rupture is now extremely unlikely.Silicone implants resemble breast tissue very closely and also have a natural feel and look. They have very few tendencies to ripple in any way that can be felt or seen than saline breast implants. Also, they weigh a little less for each size than saline breast implants do.The breast implants come either teardrop-shaped or round, and with either a textured or smooth surface. The implant can be inserted through the same incision locations as a saline implant. These locations include through the armpit, below the breast in the breast "crease," and below the nipple where the skin changes color. Since all silicone breast implants come pre-filled, the incision to place them must be slightly larger than that for a saline breast implant. Still the incision is well hidden and small.Now that women are able to choose between saline or silicone breast implants, there is a choice to be made. Due to this, breast augmentation is sure to become even more in demand.
