Houses
The typical house is still popular among many Filipinos. Though not as popular compared to condominiums and townhouses, these typical houses are still known for its advantage in which condominiums and townhouses lack, which is its affordability.
According to many real estate experts, the reason why houses are still popular is because not all Filipinos can afford to live in a condominium unit or in a townhouse unit. In addition to its affordability, houses are still known as one of the best types of housing which can offer the kind of environment suitable for a growing family. This is because most houses are found in residential areas or in the suburbs.
The disadvantage of these types of residential Philippines properties, however, is that houses are not as popular in terms of accessibility to workplaces, not unlike condominiums, townhouses, and apartment buildings.
Condominiums
Condominiums have recently gained a lot of popularity in the market, particularly in today's modern and fast-paced lifestyle. And part of the reason why these types of housing became one of the most popular and modern type of housing is because of its location.
Most condominiums are found in business and commercial districts, allowing its residents to enjoy the luxury of living within walking distance or mass transit distance to their workplaces as well as popular "hang-out" areas such as malls.
However, the disadvantage of these types of housing is its unsuitability for a growing family, particularly for their growing children. This is because of the lack of wide open spaces for them to play and grow. There are, however, new condominiums which can provide Filipinos families the necessities they needed, these are condominium complexes.
Compared to condominiums in the city, condominium complexes are normally found in the outskirts, while some are even found in provincial districts. Because of this, residents are given the right environment for a growing family, particularly because of its wide expanse of land as well as parks and playgrounds. The disadvantage, however, is its location.
Townhouses
There are different types of townhouses available in the Philippine market today. There are townhouses found in residential areas, in the outskirts, and in business and commercial districts. These are the reasons why these types of Philippines properties are still popular, which is because of its diversity in terms of location. However, the disadvantage is that townhouses are normally expensive, particularly those found in small footprints in the city.
Apartment buildings
Although not for sale, apartment units have become popular among many Filipinos, particularly the one/two/three bedroom apartments which are perfect for Filipino families. Part of what made these types of housing popular is its affordability, which is because apartments are normally rented rather than bought. Another is that these new types of housing are found near business and commercial districts.
