The Lighthouse Bay Resort in Barbuda is offering a special wedding package for couples

planning to tie the knot on the unique triple date 12/12/12.

Couples looking for a special date for their weddings abroad can head to the Caribbean island of Barbuda where they can get married at the luxurious Lighthouse Bay Resort on the last triple date until 2101.

Triple dates only occur 12 times every one hundred years and couples will have one last chance to take advantage of this special occurrence when they book their destination weddings on 12th December, 2012.

Choosing a location for Caribbean weddings can be overwhelming but the Lighthouse Bay Resort in Barbuda offers a picturesque tropical setting as well as upscale accommodation and facilities.

The resort has nine suites which can accommodate up to 26 people, allowing couples to have virtually exclusive access to a private island during their special occasion.

Brides and grooms who want privacy during their weddings abroad can buy-out the island resort for a five-night minimum stay from $37,500 per night. This includes five round-trip helicopter transfers from the neighbouring island of Antigua; all meals and drinks, use of the resorts private swimming pool; nine suites including a Grand Suite, three Master Suites and three Junior Suites; and access to 17 miles of pink sand beach.

Wedding guests will be able to relax in their luxury suites with amenities including Wi-Fi Internet, flat screen satellite televisions, iPod alarm clock CD players, personal laptops and iPads for guests' use while staying at the property, and complimentary international telephone calls.

Staff members at the Lighthouse Bay Resort are on hand to ensure the special day runs smoothly and they will take care of details including the flowers, catering, wedding cake, decorated archway for the ceremony and pre-wedding massages.

Couples can choose romantic beach weddings or nuptials in the tropical gardens and a team of catering staff will provide an excellent menu of delicious food and drinks for the reception.

Newlyweds and their guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities for the remainder of their holiday such as day charters, horseback riding, snorkelling, swimming, sailing, fishing, cooking classes with the resorts Chef Lennox, and sunset beach BBQs and bonfires.

The happy couples will also be given a special engraved gift to commemorate their weddings in Barbuda.

The twin-island nation of Barbuda and Antigua was recently voted among the top 20 honeymoon destinations in the world and ranked third place in the Caribbean region by BRIDES Magazine.
