Temples in Kullu Valley: Most spectacularly built Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is the largest in the chain of temples in Kullu Valley. The toughest temple to reach is Bijli Mahadev Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it derives its name from the old incident that the shivling of this temple used to be shattered by lightening many a time. Bhuvneshwari Temple is another temple built in line with the Bijli Mahadev Temple. Located on the National Highway near Kullu is Vaishno Devi Temple. Raghunath Temple, dedicated to the patron deity of Kullu is the site of the famous Kullu Dusshera festivals. Ancient story reveals that Lord Rama performed the Ashwamedha Yajna here in front of the idol of Raghunathji.

Temples in Manali : Manu Rishi Temple is one of the most important temples in Manali. It is a five-storey pagoda-like structure and on the top crowns a brass kalasa. The temple is named after Manu, the first human ever. Vashishtha Temple is named after the sage Vashishtha and built to reflect Pahadi-traditions and cultures. Inside the temple is a stone idol, the patron deity, clad in dhoti, a white shawl and a cap. The most important temple is that of Hadimba Devis and devotees offer prayeer at the temple daily. The four-storeyed, pagoda-shaped temple showcases intricate carvings of dancers at the entrance door. Inside the temple, seated on a rock, is Goddess Hadimba. Gauri Shankar Temple built in pyramid style and housing idols of Parvati and Shiva is situated on the left bank of Manali.

Hot Water Springs: Dotting its landscape Kullu has several hot water springs, famous for their curative powers to treat many ailments. Kheerganga at Manikaran is one of the most visited sites. Whitish in color, these hot water springs have emerged from the huge rocks. The believers take dip here to cure rheumatic pains and gastric disorders. A dip in the hot water springs at Kalath, Manali is believed to cure many skin ailments. Tourism Department of Himachal Pradesh has built a Turkish Bath site Vashishtha Springsare for those who love and want to enjoy Turkish bath.

Rafting: Rafting, canoeing and kayaking lovers exploit the white water of Beas River to the fullest. Many clubs around organize number of events and competitions throught the year. The clubs provides necessary equipments for the adventure sessions

Solang Valley: Here one of the most popular treks is undertaken from Manali to Solang Valley and the Beas Kund below Hanuman Tibba.

Rohtang Pass or Snow Point: Tourists catch magnificient glimpses of the majestic Himalayas from this place. Rohtang Pass is the highest point on the National Highway and is popular for skiing since this place experiences heavy snowfall during winter. A beautiful view of the Dassaur Lake which is the source of Beas River is close by.

Kullu-Manali is the land of Festivals and celebrations. Almost entire year tourists are entertained with some event or the other. The Winter Carnival is considered the most awaited event in the valley and people from all over India and abroad visit the place during this time. This festival is held at Manu Kala Kendra in Manali and is attended by students from most Indian colleges. April is the time of celebrating the Spring Festival and is marked by great events of songs and dances. The Hidimba Devi Fair is one of the important festivals of this place and is held at the Hidimba Devi Temple Complex. People from across the country visit this place during the celebration.

The much awaited Dussehra Festival is held in October every year. The entire valley gives a colorful look during this time. The festival starts with the visiting of Royal family by Goddess Hidimbas idol travelling the distance from Kullu Valley temple.
