The Holy Grail is a religious artifact with incredible spiritual power
. This cup was supposedly the last cup Christ drank from while on Earth. This cup was used for the first Eucharist service during the Last Supper, and supposedly holds incredible healing powers. Many religious mythos keepers believe that Joseph of Arimathea used the cup to drain the blood from Christ before His burial in the tomb. If this cup had actually contained the blood of the Son of God, there wouldnt be a place on earth holy enough to hold this holiest of religious artifacts.
During the reign of King Richard, the Holy Grail was the golden fleece of religious artifacts that crusading knights spent years looking for. They quested for the Grail in order to protect it from the heathen Muslims in Jerusalem. Not only that, there have been stories of the Holy Grail being found by the Knights Templar and hidden away to protect it from treasure hunters, religious artifacts collectors, and evil men seeking to use its powers for tyranny.
The Holy Grail is a religious artifact that many Hollywood movies seek to find. Movies such as: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Monty Python: The Holy Grail, and even TV shows, such as: Stargate SG:1 used the Holy Grail in a storyline for the final seasons of the show.
This most incredible of religious artifacts is also the main story theme in the popular Dan Brown novel, The DaVinci Code, in which the main characters are seeking the Holy Grail, but not the Holy Grail billions of people were lead to believe in. The Holy Grail in the Dan Brown story is a most interesting of religious artifacts in that it is a bloodline and not a cup or chalice. It reads that the religious artifact, the Holy Grail, or San Griael, is a Holy Chalice used by Christ at the Last Supper at least thats what youre meant to believe. According to the TRUE history, the Holy Grail is really the Sang Real, or Royal Blood, which is the bloodline of Christ. Jesus, married Mary Magdalene, and with her, begat children. These children were the children to the holiest man in existence, and Jesus bloodline was the Royal Blood which became the legend of the Holy Grail.
With the increase in popularity due to mainstream media, this religious artifact has gained attention from newer, bolder generations of people. The Holy Grail may have been an actual cup, but the stories and legends that have been born of it, have become just as incredible as the Grail itself.
