PCOS and Infertility Explore the Signs
Women that suffer with polycystic ovarian syndrome, also known as pcos, have a problem with their hormones. Such issues mean a woman can have irregular periods, no period at all, excessive facial hair, problems getting pregnant and more. The issue is that these women produce a large amount of insulin and the result is that their bodies begin to produce lots of male hormones which interfere with a woman's ability to conceive. In the end, this means these women have various issues with pcos and infertility. Explore some of the common signs.
Irregular periods
Often times, women that are suffering with polycystic ovary syndrome either don't have periods or have really irregular cycles. That's because this issue is a result of imbalanced hormones and you need your hormones to work properly if you want to have a normal cycle. When your cycle is thrown off, this affects your ability to have a baby and the issue is known as pcos and infertility.
Difficulty conceiving
For some women, they have a cycle each month, but still fail to get pregnant. The confusion happens because these women are having a cycle, but aren't ovulating. So often times, women feel they need to simply count their days or track their ovulation. Yet, if you have pcos, it's not a matter of tracking ovulation; because the simple fact is that you aren't releasing any eggs and are suffering from pcos and infertility.
Facial hair
If you're a woman that has excessive facial hair, this can be the result of a hormone imbalance. Also women that have polycystic ovaries also notice they have more facial hair than normal. This is because of the male hormones or androgens that are being produced. Some women not only get excess hair on their faces, but they can also notice it on their chest and back.
Small chest
Another sign that you may be suffering from pcos and infertility is that you have a small bosom. This can also be a result of the fact that you have more male hormones than other women and this means your chest may not develop like it should. Some people develop just fine, but for others it is tell-tale sign that they may have pcos and could have trouble conceiving.
