Ottawa Boot Camp Trainer Screams Gain Weight to Lose Fat.
Every day I'm asked at my Ottawa fitness boot camp this question in one way or another. Do you know that very question is? How the hell do I get rid of Fat? Its body fat and we all got way too much of it on our bodies, but how do we get rid of it?
So let me just stop for a second and ask you, whats the best way to get rid of this stuff?.... All right, time is up. Put your hands up if you said cardio, CV, running, bike, cross-train, elliptical, did you say that? Well the majority of the people would, probably 60%, 70%, or 80% will say cardio, have lots of cardio, and cardio is fantastic, its great! It increases your heart rate. You sweat. You burn a lot of calories in an hour or 45 minutes or however long you do it for. But once that times up, so does fat burning effort. So its great for that 45-minute workout or that hour workout, however long youre doing it, you burn a heck of a lot of calories. But as soon as you stop, so does your fat-burning efforts thats why at my ottawa boot camps I teach my students a totally different way to do cardio.
So, how do you turn your metabolism into a fat-burning machine every single day? How do you combat this? Do you know how do we do it? And ladies, you can get a little intimidated when I say this, but dont, just bare with me. We need to build Muscle.
Well do a bit of math now, every pound of muscle we put on your body, you burn an extra 50 calories a day, it might not sound a lot but if I have a magic wand and lets just pretend I have a magic wand and I wave it above your head, and I got rid of 10 pounds of fat from you, and I put 10 pounds of muscle on you, everyday that extra pound of muscle you have on your body, youd be burning 50 extra calories. So if its 10 pounds, 10 times 50 (calories per day) equals 500, 500 calories a day, times seven, (seven days in a week.) So seven times 500 -- what does that equal? 3500 calories, thats the magic number. Thats exactly what in a pound of fat.
So just by building 10 lbs of lean, sexy, toned muscle on your body (which is average of my Ottawa boot camp clients) your going to start burning more fat every day even at rest. Not when youre in the gym, not when youre working out, but when youre watching your movies, when youre sitting down, when youre chilling out, when youre relaxing, its going to build more slim, sexy muscle, so you dont become skinny or fat. So when you do lose that weight, your tone is just sexy, youre sculpted. So the answer -- how do we burn more fat is you build more muscle so that metabolism is on fat-burning mode 24/7.
