Online dating advice for men regarding younger women usually focuses on them (the men) needing to adapt and change in order to attract those women. But is somewhat misguided.

Because these younger girls are looking for men in their 30s and up (this all depends on the age of the woman). Indeed, for an 80-year-old man a woman in her 60s is already "younger". But to a guy who is 40, she is an old battle ax! It's all relative, after all. And, as we all know, older guys get "set in their ways", eventually turning into those "grumpy old men". And just how easy do you think it is to make these blokes change? That's right nearly impossible!
But, for the sake of argument, let's make some assumptions.
Let's say the "young women" we are talking about are aged between 18 (age of consent) and 30, and the "older men" are between 30 and 60. It is quite common for relationships to form in these age brackets.
Why Older Men Don't Have to Change (much!)
The fact is, younger women are actively seeking older guys who have the life experience that the girls lack. These women are looking for a "father figure", a gentleman who automatically knows how to treat a lady properly without appearing to make an effort. A man who understands what good manners are, what chivalry is, and what it takes to make a woman feel special.
The younger guys just don't cut it! Sure, they may have better bodies and be physically fitter, but it's experience that counts. There is no point having an expensive sports car if you don't know how to drive it!
Anyway, the younger guys have been lured away from their contemporary females by the "mature lady" phenomenon. Older women are lining up to get their hands on young men in order to teach them all the love tricks that they will need to know when they eventually turn into the mature, older men of tomorrow.
Older guys if you read online dating tips that urge you to do any of the following, ignore them:
Have a makeover
Have plastic surgery
Get a hair transplant
Learn all the latest bands and TV shows so that you will have something to talk about
You will find that younger women are not interested in turning you into a young gun. They want a mature man just the way he is. It is what they are actively seeking so any attempts by you to make yourself into something you are not comfortable with (joining trendy online social networks, learning to ride a skateboard, getting a nose ring, etc.) will look as fake as her boobs!
But, as always with online dating, some caution needs to be exercised. There is always the possibility that younger women will look for older men on Internet dating sites in order to simply get some kind of financial benefit from a lonely guy looking for love. These are minority cases, but you should nevertheless be careful.
