Now we've said goodbye to another festive season it is also time to welcome in those extra pounds that may have accumulated not only over the holiday season itself but also throughout the whole year of 2009. While it is everyones plan to take it easy over the holiday period and be careful of what they eat, it is historically true that the temptations which present themselves will result in the gain of a few pounds. This is on top of the extra weight which is, for the most part, carried by a growing amount of people in society today, means that, overall, nearly all of us are carrying more pounds than is comfortable or healthy for us. So what next? The term weight loss is a cloudy one with so many options available. The world is full of diets! Pritikin, Atkins, low carb, high carb, protein, gluten free, etc etc etc..... but all diets are not created equal the same as all men and women are not created the same. So while one type of diet will be successful for one person more often the same diet will not necessarily give another person the same amount of weight reduction. Obviously it is not rational or cost effective to sample every weight loss plan available in the blind hope that [something at some stage will work. So what we should do is to look for an plan for weight loss which is based on the practical considerations of examined body examples and metabolisms and formulate a strategy which suits individual needs.
