New moms throughout the US and Canada are being introduced to the new Mimijumi "Very Hungry" baby bottle. The bottle is designed to make it easier to breastfeed longer and is backed by lactation specialists, nurses and physicians alike.
Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Karen Todaro has been working for over thirteen years with mothers and their lactation needs. She owns her own retail store "Bosom Babies" that opened in 2005. She explains that the Mimijumi baby bottle "is so breast-like in appearance, that when Mom starts with the 'Very Hungry' bottle, babies are less likely to have a problem transitioning between breast and bottle."
Todaro has had avid success with this bottle, even with babies up to 7 months old. The bottle is very diverse and works not only for bottle-picky babies, but for all newborns. It specifically aids to prolong breastfeeding and can even help prevent obesity and diabetes later in life. The design of the bottle is "more like a breast so the baby 'latches' onto the nipple, as they would latch onto the breast. This is why they will do better going between the breast and the bottle when using the Mimijumi."
The nylon based bottle is free of BPA and easy to clean. Designed with a wide mouth for easy filling, it also has a screw on piece nipple. The silicon nipple is colored in flesh tone to resemble natural skin. The nipple top covering requires the baby to latch on to make the bottle express milk.
