. Some people even have the gall to say that it's "all in your head". (mostly the non-uterus carrying gender, if you know what I mean). To them I would say this nausea during pregnancy is real (as attested to by the thousands of women who experience it each year) and it can be one of the worst moments of a women's life.
Well, get ready to fight back ladies. We don't have to just lie there and take it anymore! Through the process of trial and error (lots of error), here are a few things that can make the first trimester of your pregnancy more bearable.
First of all, get up and get moving. You won't feel like it, I know, but you've got to do it anyway. Get out and breathe in some fresh air. Take a shower. Put some makeup on. Do your hair. Get out of those sweat pants and throw on some jeans! It doesn't sound like much, but it really will make a difference. Once you're up and going, nibble on some saltines and then find some Vitamin B. Pill form is okay but for maximum damage, look for a spray vitamin.
Ginger is also great. Real ginger. There's lots of great recipes out there that call for fresh ginger. Find some and start ingesting! Ginger tea can also be very helpful and is ready in a pinch if you feel a bout of puking coming on. Another forgotten upset stomach secret is Cola Syrup -available over the counter at most pharmacies. Drink it by the teaspoon or over some crushed iced. It's not too bad.
We can't prevent the nausea during pregnancy but hopefully you'll find a few tips and tricks that will help you fight against it. Good luck baby mama!
