It sounds like a joke, but it is true. I asked around 10 of my guy friends, "Do you prefer to stay at work more often than returning home to hear your nagging wife?" When nagging gets out of control, men will feel that communicating with their wives become a very unpleasant process and the incessant complaining will just make them shut off their mind to respond well to the nagging wife. Over the time, more problems will accumulate and it kills a marriage slowly.
If you nag at your husband all the time, you will find him getting irritated by your constant scolding, complaining and urging one day. Think about it carefully, how will you react and feel when nagging gets too much? It is likely your pride will start to kick in and you become stubborn. You start to fight back or don't even want to care anymore.
How can you stop being a nagging wife?
Don't start complaining the moment your husband comes back from office. Most men just want to rest and have a peace of mind when they are home. When men start to feel that home is a stressful place, they are likely to avoid going home early and probably will just hang around more often outside. One of the reasons why infidelity will take place is because they feel that their wife is no longer the understanding spouse that they knew.
Praises should never stop. Everybody love praises. Praise your husband if he does something great at work or for you.
Don't complain on the phone. Nagging at your husband on the phone during office time can make him lose concentration at work. You will put him in a very embarrassing position when you start yelling him on the phone when he is with his colleagues.
Discuss instead of instruct. Respect your husband by asking him to sit down and listen to your point of view rather than flaring out what you don't like. Discuss with him about how he wants to deal with the problems.
It is necessary to nag a little bit because this is to show your husband that you still care for him, but remember too much nagging will just ruin your lovely marriage.
