My Wedding Story
Dave and I met at a friend's wedding a couple of years ago. Of course, I must admit that I was more involved in helping my friend get ready for her big day. Lisa's wedding dress, makeup, and other last minute preparations took most of our time. However, that did not stop me from taking a good look at Dave who was, I must admit, looking resplendent in his Air Force uniform. That Dave was a fighter pilot is something I came to know much later. Dave was introduced to me by Lisa, a moment I had been waiting for some time. I could tell that he was paying equal attention to me, especially after having shook hands. He also gave me a peck on the cheek which I will never forget for the rest of my life.
Dave and I were introduced at the reception, with Lisa sitting between us the few moments she got time to leave her newly wedded husband. For some reason he made me feel really special. His gentle, demure attitude is what I found attractive. Without doubt, here was an officer and a gentleman who I couldn't take my eyes off. I must say it was the excitement of Lisa's wedding that kept me from getting cold feet or butterflies in my stomach. However, Dave did not seem to give me any reason to feel that way. In fact, I felt as comfortable as ever, which is a difficult feeling especially for a first encounter.
Hats off to Lisa, who made every effort to ease the situation despite the fact it was her wedding day. Lisa's husband, Ben, was even more understanding. Moreover, the two of them knew each other well before their wedding and did not mind the diversion one bit. Ben was a good friend of Dave and he was looking out for someone for his good old pal, and probably thought I was a good choice. After all, he trusted Lisa well.
We all got together in a group that night before we could let Ben and Lisa off the hook and went down to the beach for a stroll. I asked Lisa a lot of questions about Dave and soon found out that he had done the same about it. Lisa gave Ben the green signal and got Dave to join up. We soon started dating and spent some lovely moments together. We visited our families in Columbus, Ohio, and Dave finally popped the big question with an elegant diamond ring on Christmas Day in front of the family. Of course, my dad was proud to have a member of the US Air Force in our family, especially since he and mum were blessed with three daughters. We were married six months later and continue to be happily married till this day.
I am going to choose this dress as my wedding dress. Really reasonable and beautiful. Hope you guys all like it.
