Make sure that there's a gift waiting for her at some point of the day even if you do make her breakfast in bed because while breakfast in bed is a popular concept, it"s just too much of a typical toothpaste commercial type of thing so something other than the morning meal should make her day special. it would a good idea to buy her a gift that she can enjoy with the whole family and mothers day gift baskets are just one such gift. pick one that has a food theme to be on the safe size, (she might not like other things and mothers day is no time for taking risks)
