. Many people fall in love with someone without knowing it. You constantly want to be with him, talk about him and tagging along him for months. Are you still considering him to be just a friend? Or is it already more than that for you?
Here are some signs that you might be chasing him without knowing it.
1. You want to hang out with him on his terms.
Girls normally hangout with guys that they fancy. A lot of girls like hanging out with their guy friends. Whether the guy be straight or gay, some women just love spending time with them. Most of the reasons is that they are a breathe of fresh air from the usual girly conversations and social dynamic. On the other hand, being "surgically" attached to your guy friend is another thing.
If you just find yourself willingly being on the stands during his Sunday games and thinking; "Sure, I don't mind spending my weekends with him, he's fun to hang out with"- then you might just be harboring a secret crush. May sound childish but that's it. You better act on it though and don't take ages to get your message across. It's likely that he'd notice it too.
2. You get jealous with all the other women he goes out with.
Some women get overly jealous and protective about their guy friends. Sometimes you find yourself telling your other friends, that he's such a great person but hopeless in finding a woman. Or that he's just too good or could do better with his type of women. Or when you look at him checking out another woman in a bar, then it seems you can't resist telling him how horrible her make-up looks.
Guilty? There are many times that we'd wish our guy friends would fare off better in the romance department but not to the point that we bash all the girls he wants to go out with. Consider whether you want to be that woman who he's checking out at the bar rather than being in the sidelines.
3. You get annoyed when he doesn't reply.
You text, call, email, chat but he doesn't seem to reply. How about if it was your friend whom you did not reply to? How would they feel? Would they get annoyed or just think that your "too busy at the moment?". If you care so much about him replying then ask yourself how deep your feelings go out to him?
4. You just blew off a date to be with him.
You would prefer spending your time with him than with your date. Imagine that you are on a date, then you receive a message from your guy friend asking you to hang out with him. With no second thought, you make an excuse to ditch your date just so you can watch his favorite reality game show finale on TV together. Are you still with the thought that "he's really no big deal, or just friends to you?".
5. Talking about him 24/7.
When you find yourself constantly making him the favorite example or topic of the conversation then get yourself checked by the love guru. There comes a point where you like someone so much that you squeeze his name on every conversation you come up with subconsciously. If you aren't sure how many times you get to mention him in front of your friends, then start counting. It's also quite obvious about how your friends "looks" and "eye-rolling" would mean just by hearing his name, they probably know all about him from you. If either number goes beyond 3 or 5 then you need to make your feelings clear.
Confronting your feelings and realising them will make you feel "free" and much more confident. When you realise it, there might be those awkward moment when you feel like confessing- but afraid that it might ruin your friendship. If you are really sure about it, then be open about your feelings but take it easy. Or else you'll scare him away with your confessions of love.
