They recognize the social and legal significance of marriage and the marriage ceremonies in the Australian community and the importance of recognizing personal commitments and family relationships.

AS YOUR CELEBRANT:

I attend to all legal documentation which includes lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage and the Registration of your marriage.

I give you complete choice of ceremony content and format

You will have unlimited consultation with me either by telephone, email or in person.

A Microphone & CD player will be supplied (if required)

I offer a free Rehearsal at my premises

A very special keepsake copy of your wedding ceremony will be given to you after the ceremony.

As a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants Inc. and the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of Victoria Inc., I abide by these associations Codes of Practice and by the Code of Practice as set by the Commonwealth of Australia Marriage Act (1961).

1) The Marriage Act 1961 Commonwealth of Australia requires certain procedures and documents to be completed prior to your wedding.

2) A Notice of Intended Marriage (Form 13): This document is supplied by your Authorised Celebrant and needs to be completed by both marriage partners, at least, one month prior to your wedding day; but not more than 18 months prior.

3) In the case of persons marrying overseas residents, the form can be received by the Celebrant with the one signature; but the overseas partner must sign the Notice and provide all the required documentation prior to the Wedding Day.

Declarations A legal Declaration is prepared by your Celebrant an you will be required to sign this no more than 14 days prior to your wedding day. After your marriage has been solemnized, this document, along with all other legal documentation is sent by your wedding celebrant, to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages for registration.

Witnesses: You must have two people willing to witness your signatures on your Marriage Certificates, the legal documentation and the Marriage Register on your wedding day. This is (usually) your Chief Bridesmaid and Best Man. But can in fact be anyone, as long as they are both at least 18 years of age or older and understand what they are witnessing and signing.
