As a man, you may be an advocate of that rugged dry skin look. But moisturiser use among men is becoming increasingly common, and it certainly has its benefits - as Paul from male grooming service Men Are Useless explains:
Why should a man use a moisturiser? The question should really be: Why not? After shaving, skin is left dry and damaged. The daily use of moisturiser can hydrate your skin, leaving it in better condition and making your future shaves more comfortable!
The benefits don't just stop at hydration. Sun damage can also be prevented, as many new moisturisers contain protection against UVA rays. Although not containing the same degree of protection as sun-cream, moisturisers aim to protect your skin against the more powerful rays, which can lead to skin blemishes and deep lines. Now, nobody wants to be wrinkly do they?
Here's a fact for you: Men's skin is more delicate than women's.
This is because shaving strips off the hydrolytic film on the skin' surface. The consequence being, male skin is more prone to skin irritation. Men also have larger pores, making them susceptible to oily skin, and outbreaks.
Yet, more women continue to use moisturiser. I think us men may be missing a trick

Leave to dry for about ten minutes, but remember, any face movements may cause the mask to crack (leaving you looking rather silly). Once the mask has dried, it is removed using warm water, and a towel if necessary. Once the mask has been removed, it is also advisable to use moisturiser to prevent your skin from drying up!
