Cheating is one of those things that many people never plan on doing
. There are a few who say they would do it if they knew, without a doubt, they'd never get caught. But, for most people the fear or getting caught and risking the wonderful relationships they are in at the moment is too much for them to take. That's actually a good thing.
Now, for those who do take the risk, does it mean they are bad people? No, definitely not. Does it mean they are deficient somehow? Nope. That's the wrong answer too. So what does it mean?
Usually, when a person cheats it is because of the feeling that they lost something really special or that they are not getting what they think they deserve from the relationship that they are in.
Am I saying that it's all your fault if your partner cheated on you? No way at all! Cheating is a decision that someone made. Right or wrong it happened because of an active choice made by the other person. That is not your fault.
Would that mean it could not be prevented even if you wanted to? Not really.

Relationships require work to be successful. No matter how much you love the other person if you aren't both tending to matters at home one or both of you are not going to be happy with the life of its own your relationship seems to be taking. It's time to rein in the runaway horse your relationship has become and get your house in order.
Consider counseling. Counseling is not only for couples. You can get counseling that will help you relate to your wife and even help you learn to see things from her point of view. If you can convince her to go with you to couples' counseling sessions it will be even better for both of you as you can work together to make your relationship stronger. It's also a sure sign that she is interested in making things better between the two of you.
Add in some romance. Can you tell me the last instance you showered your wife with your charm? When you do not need romance yourself, she on the other hand does. If you prefer to keep her happy while being with you, it is a sound idea to feed her need for romance every other time possible. Get her that cute ornament that's full of meaning. Sing that silly love songs or write some poetry for her. Announce to the world her importance to you.
Share dreams with each other. What a bonding experience is would be for a couple to share dreams with each other. It will make the bonds stronger between you two when you get to work together to accomplish those dreams. Notice how different your relationship will be after.
