Learn The Art Of Successful Wedding Planning
This is the celebrated course but since life is not a screenplay
, things can sometimes get murky when the big day nears. A good number of courtships last for long periods while others are summarized in a couple of months. There's no doubt that people have varied reasons regarding wedding and marriage. The catch is here is that when dating partners decide to cement their relationship through marriage ceremony; most often do it for the proper reasons (love?) and to use the sports idiom, execute the game plan as a team. As far as I'm concerned, no "I" exists in a team.
Work as a Team
My assumption is that you're gonna opt for a traditional wedding and are unlikely to hop into a plane and fly off to some remote destination to be wedded by a shaman in a toga at sunrise with a goat and a pig as witnesses. My assumption is here to sustain the discussion otherwise there is no point proceeding further. There is nothing controversial about exchanging marriage vows on a sandy beach in south pacific or is it?
You bet not, this makes me wonder repeatedly why an increasing number of couples ignore it. Well, maybe it's because of the obvious reasons. As a matter of fact many women view weddings as this massive event and a dream coming to fruition. This holds men at ransom and determines their approvability as husband material. Don't be surprised when your woman acknowledges the benefits of a short vacation only to change her mind later in favor of a flamboyant affair. Skepticism aside, there is no doubt that a massive family wedding can be extremely gorgeous, the bottom line here is that it requires two people with like mind sets to plan it.
So the time has come to set the details for the wedding ceremony and reception. As a man, you can get lost at this stage. This is normal. Frustration can occur so I urge you to remember your love for your woman at all times.
Remember what the end goal is here: To become husband and wife and start a life and family (another assumption) together. As long as this is foremost in both of your minds, everything should run pretty smoothly.
That is, until insanity sets in with the expectations of family, the constraints of your budget and the disorganization of your vendors. The ride to the big day can get rough and as the weeks fly by, it is contingent on both of you (not just you) to respect the opinions, preferences and wishes of the other person. Because if there is one certainty, it is that a couple will argue about their wedding before the wedding. It happens, unless the groom-to-be is completely clueless and indifferent about the whole shebang (that's one word).
Be a smart commander
To conclude, it will serve you well to acknowledge that arguments will occur at some points in regards to the reception and wedding ceremony, just keep in mind that diplomacy is a valuable skill to have as a man and it's required more than ever when dealing with your bride in the few remaining weeks to the big day. Remember that the bride is always the star of the event and not you.
